For the animals you love, a gift of peace, ease, and wellness
Gentle healing for animals, large and small
I’m Linda Rogers Crabtree, founder of Circle of Peace. I offer Animal Reiki and Equine Acupressure to support relaxation, comfort, and well-being for your animal. Together, we share a space of connection, trust, and healing.
I follow the Let Animals Lead® method when offering Reiki, honoring the animal’s choice of place and position. Touch isn’t necessary, nor is proximity. Sharing a peaceful space of compassion and connection allows the animal to feel and experience the benefits of the Reiki energy.
I believe that blending Eastern energy practices with Western medicine provides comprehensive care for your animal. Animal Reiki and Equine Acupressure are gentle, non-invasive Eastern healing modalities that support the whole being—mind, body, and spirit—at any stage of your animal’s life.
Whether your animal is navigating physical discomfort, emotional stress, recovery from injury, or simply receiving routine or preventative wellness care, these practices create a calm, compassionate space where they can relax, feel safe, and allow the nervous system to settle, supporting the animal's innate ability to heal to unfold.
Both modalities encourage deep relaxation, restore balance, ease tension and pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and support overall health and function. When combined, Reiki and acupressure work harmoniously to enhance healing, strengthen trust, and deepen connection.
Animal Reiki
Reiki is an energy healing practice developed in Japan that supports your animal through all phases of life, from times of challenge and transition to moments of rest and renewal. Following the Let Animals Lead® approach by Kathleen Prasad, your animal is free to direct their own experience—choosing whether to be nearby, remain at a distance, or receive gentle touch.
After a Reiki session, your animal may be more calm and relaxed, experience less pain, move more freely, show a positive change in behavior, or have increased energy and appetite. You may also feel a sense of relief as you notice encouraging shifts in your animal.
What is an Animal Reiki session like?
Animal Reiki sessions take place where your animal feels most at ease—whether in a barn or paddock, or in a favorite spot in your home. Sessions are held during a quiet part of the day, when your animal is not anticipating a meal, walk, or arrival. This helps them settle more easily and be present and receptive to the Reiki energy.
I begin with meditation and mindful presence, creating a calm space of compassion and connection. In this space, trust and healing unfold naturally. Each session is guided by your animal’s comfort and choice. I gently observe their responses, honoring their preferences throughout.
A typical session lasts one hour. Since Reiki is a gradual process, multiple sessions may be recommended for chronic or ongoing conditions.

Is a distant Reiki session just as effective?
In every Animal Reiki session—whether in-person or distant—the animal and I share a space of energetic connection, allowing for gentle support and healing. In this space, there is no true separation or physical distance, only connection and oneness, making them just as effective as in-person sessions.
I like to have a recent photo of your animal for the session. As with in-person sessions, we start at a pre-arranged quiet time with meditation and mindful presence. This type of session is helpful if your animal is extremely fearful or shy or when an in-person visit is not possible.

Real-life tales

During a Reiki session with an elder cat, the guardian was invited to take part as well. I gently guided the guardian in a meditation, fostering a space of calm, compassion, and connection to support her cat's needs. The cat moved freely, choosing where she wished to be during the session — resting on her bed atop a trunk in the den where we sat on the floor, then wandering into the kitchen to eat and drink, before returning again. She flowed in and out of the healing space in her own way, leading the session. As the session came to a close, with the cat on her bed, she began to groom herself. Tears filled her guardian’s eyes. She shared that her cat had not cleaned herself for weeks. ❤️

I was contacted to offer Reiki and Equine Acupressure for a horse that was recovering from a recent abscess and cellulitis. The first visit was Reiki only. The guardian stood next to me participating in the session as well. While observing her horse during the session, the guardian mentioned that he hadn't eaten that much grass in a long time, and that he was calmer, showing no anxiety as he moved further back in the pasture without a herd mate by his side. ❤️

A couple of years after my horse Czammy came into my life, his left knee—injured many years earlier—began to trouble him after our short trail rides. To support his well-being, I offered my new practice of Reiki. Within minutes, his head dropped and he licked and chewed, visibly relaxing as the energy in his body shifted. He stood quietly for a long time, resting and receiving the healing energy. Reiki helped ease his discomfort and supported his healing, and in that quiet time, Czammy and I were given the gift of simply being together.
Animal Reiki supplements veterinary care
Reiki is a gentle, holistic approach that supports your animal’s well-being alongside veterinary care, not as a substitute.
Equine Acupressure
Equine Acupressure is a gentle, non-invasive therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that promotes balance and harmony throughout the equine body. It is beneficial for all equines—horses, donkeys, mules, and ponies—of all ages, sizes, and disciplines.
With acupressure, light pressure is applied to specific points to restore and maintain the flow of energy (Qi) in the body. This helps to reduce pain or discomfort, calms the nervous system, encouraging relaxation, easing stress or tension, and supports the body’s natural ability to heal.
What is an Equine Acupressure session like?
Acupressure sessions take place where your horse feels most at ease, with as few distractions as possible. Sessions are scheduled during a quiet part of the day—when your horse is not anticipating a meal, turnout, or turn-in to help them be calm, present, and receptive.
For the first session, we'll review any concerns and we'll take time for your horse to become comfortable with me. During the session, I select and stimulate acupressure points based on your concerns, your horse's responses and my observations.
In subsequent sessions, any observations or changes will be discussed and I continue to provide supportive, effective care for your horse based on their current condition. For most horses, your presence isn't required.

Equine Acupressure is a gentle, restorative experience
Each session begins with a few moments of meditation to create a space of calm and connection, helping your equine feel relaxed and comfortable with me. Sessions are slow, respectful, and guided by your equine’s comfort and choices. Reiki is also offered to encourage relaxation and amplify healing.
Movement after a session is beneficial, as it helps your equine’s body integrate the energetic shifts that occur during the session. A relaxed hand walk or turnout is recommended. On the following day, your equine may return to regular activities.
Acupressure is a gentle, gradual process. In most cases, more than one session is needed to support lasting change. Chronic conditions, in particular, develop over time, and the body needs time to restore balance and ease or resolve these patterns.

Real-life tales
-
Over a period of 18 months of Equine Acupressure sessions, this extremely sensitive horse gradually found ease in her mind, body, and spirit, responding more calmly to her guardian. She allowed the bridle to be put on without fuss, welcomed scratches on her body, and accepted gentle touch on her face. She also began following her guardian around in the paddock, showing increased trust and connection. ❤️

I offered Equine Acupressure and Reiki to a therapy horse known for grumpy behavior when being led. During a lesson on the same day as the session, a volunteer observed that he appeared happier, more willing to move, and noticeably easier to lead—something she noted was not typical for him. ❤️

A guardian asked me to provide acupressure to support her horse during seasonal transitions, when he can be reactive and prone to colic. I've worked with him over the past two years, and his seasonal transitions have been calmer and less stressful. ❤️
