About Circle of Peace

Hello. I’m Linda Rogers Crabtree, founder of Circle of Peace. Created in 2007, Circle of Peace grew from my personal experiences with Reiki, a lifelong love of animals, and a desire to help people support the animals in their life.

My work continually invites me to grow and care for myself so I can better support the well-being of others. Through spiritual practices, including Reiki, I stay grounded, steady, and fully present.

These practices cultivate an open heart and mind, allowing me to show up with calm, clarity, and compassion. This creates a supportive space for connection and healing—in my work with animals and the people who love them, as well as in my classes.

Linda Rogers Crabtree and her horse Kawa

Sharing a quiet moment with Kawa, my spirit horse and trusted teacher, companion, and partner since 2010. Kawa means “horse” in my native Osage language. I’m deeply grateful that my work creates a peaceful space where Kawa and I can connect, heal, and simply be.

The circle, a symbol of harmony, balance, and connection in Indigenous cultures, reflects the essence of my logo and the heart of my work with animals and their people.

One special horse led me to the work I do now – and love.

Czammy, Linda's first horse

Czammy, my first horse, was my “dreams do come true” horse. He opened my heart and my mind and showed me a new path. Through our experiences together, I was guided to create Circle of Peace and step into my work as a Reiki Practitioner and Teacher.

Thank you, Czammy. ❤️

A path of purpose, guided by animals

It all began in 2000 with Czammy

In 2000, my journey with animals and holistic care began. Inspired by volunteering at an equine-assisted services center, I left my corporate career to become a therapeutic riding instructor. Soon after, I discovered Reiki after witnessing a deeply moving session between a therapy horse and practitioner, and I soon began my own Reiki training.

Later that year, Czammy came into my life and became my first teacher in listening, respect, and presence. As I deepened my Reiki practice and my relationship with him, I saw how profoundly this gentle approach could support animals and their guardians.

Circle of Peace began in 2007 and expanded in 2014

These experiences led me to found Circle of Peace in 2007, with the intention of supporting the well-being of animals and nurturing the connections they share with their people.

In 2010, another meaningful chapter began when I stepped away from therapeutic riding to focus on my business, and welcomed Kawa into my life. He is my partner and teacher, and continues to deepen my understanding of presence, peace, and connection.

In 2014, guided by the same intention to support animals in holistic ways, I expanded my work to include Equine Acupressure through training with the Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute and certification with the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage. I also embraced Kathleen Prasad’s Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki method and became a practitioner and teacher with the Shelter Animal Reiki Association.

I continue to learn…

My ongoing learning and spiritual growth enrich the work I offer to animals and add depth to my classes.

I am dedicated to nurturing my personal Reiki practice through meditation, teaching, and guidance of trusted teachers and mentors. Continuing education deepens my understanding of Animal Reiki and Equine Acupressure and allows me to bring greater presence, skill, and insight to my work.

…and give back

Giving back is an essential part of my path. Over the years I have offered voluntarily at animal rescue shelters, cancer support centers, and community and senior organizations. I’ve led Reiki workshops and demos and attended fund raisers for animal shelters—each time with the intention of sharing the healing power of compassion, calm, and connection.

In honor of and with gratitude for the human and animal teachers in my life, a portion of the proceeds from my Reiki classes is donated to organizations close to my heart, including equine assisted services centers, cancer research in honor of my mother, the Shelter Animal Reiki Association, and animal sanctuaries and shelters. In this same spirit of giving, I extend discounted rates for my services to equine assisted services centers and registered animal rescues and sanctuaries.
